I think each of these snippets could be life-changing.
And I’m also thinking about how needful it is for religious educators to learn to preach — because we do it too, and we often only have 5 minutes in a service to get a point across.
Thank you so much for this Reverend Kimberley! I had so much FOMO about this conference. I hope it continues, and that I will be able to attend as a non-minister who sometimes preaches. Erol’s dream and planning of this conference seems to have been the greatest gift to all who attended. 💜
I'm not a minister but found this interesting. I liked the "nugget" that speaking from the heart requires deep preparation which definitely rings true in my own experience.
Sounds like an amazing conference. Thank you for sharing a few quotes. Clearly our faith is in many good hands and hearts.
I’ve had two preaching classes … first was called “Preaching As If You Mean It” and the second several years later was “Preaching from the Heart.” The first provided practical skills for preparing a presentation. The second taught me how to access my true voice and wisdom. I wish I’d had the second one first.

Imagine if we did this in more of our interactions... how much kinder and truthful we might be with one another.
Thanks for reading!

It was amazing - you'd have loved it. (And I think they're making it possible to get the recordings.)
I also agree we don't do enough work on how to discern and trust our authentic voice. Took me a long time.
