I've asked the colleague mentioned in the post if she has notes of where she saw the reference - but we definitely need to track it down.

Also, some of us are talking about updating/writing one.

Yes, I would love to see this old curriculum. As you may know, I did not grow up in church though I did attend churches as a teen. At this point, I see more people in our congregations that did grow up in church and are intent on throwing off all the trappings of such. That's a struggle, as well. And I know you know that.

yes! I totally want that curriculum as well. Any idea where it went? I am sure it could be a thesis project for someone to update and re-introduce to UU congregations ...

Amen and amen. Yes, we could use this curriculum.

Thank you, Kimberly, for saying what so many of us are thinking and naming a phenomenon that has hurt many of our ministries. And I’d love to see that curriculum!

May i dare say "Amen" in a Unitarian Universalist space? May I dare use the word "holy"? I note that you had to explain/apologize for using the word "church". I recently moved to a new city and have not joined the UU "congregation" because of the amount of negativity I see just from looking at their website! Coming from a church that has now changed its designation to "congregation", where the music director replaced hymns and sacred music with anthems from Broadway musicals, I'd rather take a walk or bake a cake on Sunday mornings than enter a room full of judgment and grading political correctness, where a search for holiness is met with chuckles and rolled eyes. I long for a religious community (after all, I'm new here and lonely) but I think I'm too old the change faiths again.
