Shared values is good messaging. People have trouble with covenant because they think it is a set of rules. And heaven forbid you should ask for accountability; it goes against the rugged individualism some UUs cling to instead of beloved community.
I hadn’t realized how much the disruption of the pandemic affected us. There was a lot of uncertainty and fear, as well as scrambling to take care of logistics to keep afloat with heads above water. Fear of change, clinging to old ways, especially those that brought particular comfort and support. People come to spiritual community for different reasons. A level of community was lost in shifting to zoom.
Burnout is also domething to consider. People work in groups for various reasons, sometimes with strong interest, sometimes because they respond to a request or urging from others. Becoming heavily involved hopefully comes with awareness of when one needs support within and without the community, when it may be time to step back, take a break, shift, find other resources. A healthy organization includes the participation of many, with emotional intelligence, awareness, excellent communication, and flexibility.

Preach it. I have come across this so many times.
